Centre for NEP Implementation (CNPI)

1. Introduction

The Centre for NEP Implementation (CNPI) at AAFT University of Media and Arts is established to facilitate and oversee the strategic alignment of all academic and administrative activities with the objectives outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The Centre acts as a policy guidance and monitoring body to ensure the institution embraces innovation, flexibility, and quality in higher education.

2. Scope of Work
  • Align academic programs with NEP guidelines.
  • Monitor teaching-learning reforms.
  • Review implementation challenges and recommend solutions.
  • Ensure policy compliance and quality enhancement.
  • Support use of Bhartiya Bhasha (Indian Languages), and inclusive strategies to reach diverse learner groups as envisioned in the NEP.
  • Integrate MOOCs, SWAYAM, and other e-learning tools into academic delivery.
  • Ensure smooth reporting and compliance with UGC, NAAC, AICTE, and other governing authorities
3. Committee Constitution

The CNPI shall be constituted by the university administration under the direction of the Vice Chancellor. The committee will include:

  • One senior faculty member as Coordinator (preferably with experience in education policy or curriculum reform) or Dean Academics/ Associate Dean.
  • One representative from the IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell).
  • One member from Examination Cell.
  • Two faculty members from different departments represent both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
  • One academic administrator
  • Other co-opted members may be included based on relevance and expertise

The committee must reflect interdisciplinary representation, gender equity, and a mix of experience levels.

4. Constitution Committee Tenure

The committee will serve a term of two academic years (2024–2026), which may be extended or reconstituted based on institutional priorities and performance evaluation.

5. Frequency of Meetings

Quarterly (Every three months) or as required.

6. Outcome Expected
  • Timely updates to the curriculum and teaching methods as per NEP 2020 guidelines.
  • A yearly report tracking NEP-related developments and achievements.
  • Regular suggestions to improve teaching, learning, and policy implementation
  • Ongoing training programs to help faculty adopt NEP-driven teaching methods.
  • Improved student skills in critical thinking, creativity, and job readiness.
  • Courses encouraging learning across different subjects and disciplines
  • Integration of practical skills and vocational training in the curriculum.
  • Greater use of digital tools and platforms for interactive learning.
  • A framework to regularly assess NEP progress and maintain quality.
  • Active involvement of students, faculty, and industry in academic planning.
