STUDY IN INDIA

AAFT University of Media and Arts welcomes international students who wish to pursue their chosen academic programs at our institution. Student Visas are issued by Indian Missions/Embassies to foreign nationals who have received an admission offer letter from AAFT University of Media and Arts under the Study in India initiative.

Student Visas are applicable for regular, full-time academic programs such as Undergraduate, Postgraduate, PhD, and other formal courses recognized by statutory and regulatory bodies in India.

ELIGIBILITY

Student Visas are granted for the duration of the academic program, or up to five years, whichever is shorter.

Eligibility includes:

➢ Foreign nationals admitted to regular, full-time academic courses at AAFT University of Media and Arts.
➢ Proof of admission and evidence of financial support are mandatory.
➢ Applicants seeking admission to medical or paramedical programs must also obtain a "No Objection Certificate" from the Ministry of Health.
➢ Spouses and dependents accompanying the student must apply for an Entry Visa (not a Tourist Visa), which will be valid for the same duration as the Student Visa.

VALIDITY AND ENTRY POINTS

Student Visas are generally valid for up to five years and may be extended within India. Visa holders may enter the country through any recognized port of immigration (airport or seaport).

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

➢ Passport (valid for at least 6 months).
➢ Recent passport-size photographs.
➢ Photocopy of the passport.
➢ Proof of residential address.
➢ Completed online visa application form.
➢ Admission letter from AAFT University of Media and Arts.
➢ University details.
➢ Recent bank statement.

CHECKING VISA STATUS

After submitting an application through the Study in India portal and completing the choice-filling process, students should regularly check their dashboard and registered email for updates regarding institute allotment, program details, financial assistance, and Visa status.

Important: Application through the Study in India portal does not guarantee a Student Visa; approval is subject to current Indian laws and regulations.

E-FRRO REGISTRATION

All students on a visa valid for over 180 days must register with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) within 14 days of arrival in India.

Key highlights of the e-FRRO system:

➢ Entirely online—no in-person visit is required unless specifically instructed.
➢ Enables paperless, cashless, and faceless processing.
➢ All visa-related services (registration, extension, conversion, exit permit) can be accessed online.
➢ Documents such as the Registration Certificate (RC) or Visa Extension Certificate are delivered both by post and email.
➢ Students must apply at least two weeks in advance for any visa-related services.

Important instructions:

➢ e-FRRO registration is mandatory.
➢ Appear for interviews only if notified.
➢ Upload high-quality photographs and documents.
➢ Use your own email ID to maintain data privacy.
